“Whoever captures the youth owns the future” (qtd. in Liberty Counsel [LC] newsletter, May 6, 2005).i
Whoa! Whoever captures the youth owns the future? The LC took this quote by Patricia Warren from The Advocate, a pro-homosexual magazine. If this is from a pro-homosexual magazine, what is it Ms. Warren means? Keep Warren’s question in mind as you read.
As many are aware, there are many pro-homosexual groups roaming about the country today. These groups rally for same-sex marriage rights, employment benefits and school clubs exclusively for homosexuals. However, did you know that there are ex-gays out there that want to tell their story, too? Dr. Warren Throckmorton of Grove City College also produced a documentary featuring former gays, and groups in many states will show this to counter the pro-homosexual National Coming Out week in October, 2005. . (“Video”)ii
So, if homosexuality were innate, then we would not have ex-gays who want to tell others why they are no longer gay, nor would we have a well-known expert produce a video featuring ex-gays.
Unfortunately, pro gay groups often wind up drowning the voice of former gays. For instance, the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender caucus of the NEA shunned ex-gays while forming a strategy to keep homosexuality policies in school curriculum (“NEA bolsters gays”).iii In June, the National PTA welcomed the pro-homosexual group PFLAG to its 2005 convention while excluding PFOX (“PTA Welcomes Pro-Homosexual Group”).iv Yes, you read this right – the National Education Association and the Parent Teacher Association. Why the exclusion of former gays?
In my opinion, it seems as though the homosexual lobby only wants us to believe that homosexuality is natural and normal. There is not a study out there conclusive enough to prove homosexuals are born gay. In fact, Dr. Brian Mustanski of the University of Illinois at Chicago and the leader of a recent study on “gay genes” claimed that there could be genetic and environmental factors that help “differentiate sexual orientation” (“Genetic Regions”).v He calls this a “best guess”, and has yet to confirm such findings (“Genetic Regions”).vi All Mustanski did was find a small percentage of related regions of DNA in gay brothers, and Dr. Warren Throckmorton gives simple answers to questions regarding the genome project and he also explains what this project does and does not confirm.vii
With respect to older studies, Scott Lively makes the truth visible in the Introduction of his book 7 Steps to Recruit-Proof Your Child, published in 1998. “The fact is that scientific studies in the past few years have claimed to show a possible (my emphasis added) biological (genetic) cause of homosexuality, but these studies were conducted by “gay” activists themselves…” (Lively).viii
Furthermore, there are self-help books in the youth reference section of many public libraries that promote being gay as a natural thing such as Jason Rich’s Growing Up Gay in America, published in 2002.ix On page 21, Rich says “being gay isn’t a physical or mental disease, it can’t be cured.”x Lies! Unbelievable, blatant lies! Please go back to the third and fourth paragraph of my article. There are former gays. Additionally, this book states: “By opening yourself up to the possibility that you are gay or bisexual, you’re giving yourself permission to learn, explore, expand…ultimately reach your true potential (Rich 35).”xi This book goes as far as recommending in a sidebar that “One way to learn more about homosexuality is to how it’s depicted on television as well as in magazines,” and there is a list of same (Rich 37).xii So, the gist of the sidebar is to encourage young children to watch gay television. If this book is encouraging a young child to look to television for examples of homosexuality, think about the fictional books we listed as present in school library databases and the message these could send to our children.
In my opinion, it seems as though the homosexual lobby only wants us to believe that homosexuality is natural and normal.
Far be it from me to pretend to be a medical or entertainment expert, but this is not Will and Grace. Consider what we have noted in this article:
- (A) An eight-year-old book that points out flaws in earlier studies;
- (B) A recent study that remains unconfirmed;
- (C) A book found in the youth reference section of a public library tells a kid what to do if he or she feels confused, and
- (D) Organizations such as PFOX that support ex-gays.xiii
Despite what you see listed above, we are still allowing the promotion of homosexuality in schools. This is a never-ending nightmare. It is just as bad as Planned Parenthood telling our kids how to use condoms and get birth control, but that they should abstain from sex. We are letting the schools give our kids a choice on whether or not they should be gay. Now how do you feel about Ms. Warren’s statement on “whoever captures our youth”? What does it mean to “capture” something? Our children are victims of the homosexual movement-- learning how to be gay in the name of so-called “tolerance” and “diversity”. Do not take these terms at face value when used by educators and other partners-in-education, as they are not referring to human decency and civility. There is a difference.
Look to the future: This egregious, horrid brainwashing contributes to the erosion of values. The marriage amendment we voted for in the 2004 November election will not last long by the time our kids graduate from that indoctrination camp we call a public school. By that time, some of these kids will be old enough to vote and many will be old enough to run for leadership positions in our local, state and federal government.

xiii PFOX. “Unsafe Schools.” (2005): 17 Jul. 2005- One reason listed in this article as to why we have unsafe schools: They [schools] recommend books on homosexuality for youth that teach “do what feels right to you” and that self-restraint on sexual choices is foolish. How can this philosophy of “anything goes” and enthusiastic promotion of sexual alternatives then condemn ex-gay alternatives as an option for at-risk youth?

Operation Information
Operation Information is the home website of a coalition of concerned citizens dedicated (determined) to uphold and support an educational system that stands on traditional, conservative American values. We are also determined to expose the city, state and federal agencies that have partnered with the United Nations to subjugate our American sovereignty
Our mission is to research and reveal teachings, methods, and/or curriculum that are contrary to these values. We will also endeavor to expose city, state and federal agencies that have betrayed the trust given to them by "We the People."
Our goal is to protect our children and the educational process, and to encourage the public to take a stand for what is right in both our public schools and city, state and federal entities.
We believe in a Biblical world view, teaching reading, writing and arithmetic, and the passing on of our American culture to our children. We also believe that federal control by any means (directly or indirectly) is unconstitutional.
Since as parents we pay for the schools, our children attend them, and we as parents are Biblically responsible for our children, local control of our schools/education of our children is not an option, it is mandatory. As parents and citizens we also pay taxes that are being misused by our elected officials for agendas that are contrary to our constitution.
